At Atlas Courier Express, we are committed to minimising our environmental impact on the planet.eco friendly courier

VEHICLE EMISSIONS

We operate a modern fleet of vehicles, fitted with the latest environmentally friendly engines, including catalytic converters and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). All vehicles are fitted with a minimum standard of Euro 5 engines, with latest editions having Euro 6, allowing us to be one of the most eco friendly courier services in the UK.

ENERGY SAVING

We have all electrically operated equipment switched off when not being used, including any computers not being used for essential work. We are also looking to switch to green energy suppliers as current contracts expire.

RECYCLING

Our offices currently recycle all office waste that can be re-used in some way, including any paper, ink cartridges, metal, wood, expired IT equipment and any other recyclable waste, in association with GreenRecycling

This has reduced our contribution to landfill by well in excess of 50%. We endeavor to use recycled products, including paper, wherever it is practical.

WASTE PAPER

Our IT system enables us to cut down on paper usage by sending out invoices and proofs of delivery in PDF format via email and most of our customers and suppliers have helped us reduce our footprint by signing up to this service. We also use email to advise customers of new services and quotations where this is acceptable to the customer.

WEBSITE

Atlas operates an online booking system via our Customer Login page, whereby customers can obtain quotes, book jobs and monitor progress using our state of the art satellite tracking system and real-time electronic Proof of Delivery updates.

We have also set up ‘Goods 2 Go’, a service that provides customers the opportunity to vehicle share. This service helps us save on CO2 emissions, which is without doubt our biggest contribution to help protect the environment.
